Emilia Wickstead described her SS22 collection as “a melding of old-world and modern proportions”, inspired by the 1961 French film Last Year at Marienbad. Her unmistakably English and feminine aesthetic is demonstrated perfectly by pieces like the Mona dress. It’s shaped to a retro-inspired silhouette from cotton poplin with a fitted bodice and flared, full skirt, then swathed in a blooming floral motif growing all over.
