One of the reasons why the X920 performs like a semi-professional camcorder is that it uses three image sensors instead of the usual one sensor with colour filters, the same used for professional broadcast cameras and renders the video image with outstanding colour fidelity and detail. Back Side Illuminated (BSI) sensors provide a better performance in low light and have recently been introduced for some mobile camera products.
