For each shoe he sculpts, René Caovilla flips through the sweeping library of his mind: finding inspiration in the lightness of a butterfly wing, to the cold fall jewels upon an empress's neck. But for the Chandelier sandals, the designer looks to those shimmering lanterns above. Crafted from glossy leather, this slinky pair is set on a pin-thin heel before entwining around the ankle with a spiral strap, scattered in light-splintering crystal beads.
