Etsu Gin is proudly made in the Asahikawa distillery on Hokkaido, an island in the north of Japan. You can experience the bottle’s heritage right down the notes, with Sansho pepper and green tea leaves finishing on a yuzu aroma – even the water used to dilute the spirit flows from Japan’s Taisetsu Mountains. As for the craftmanship, bitter orange peel, coriander, liquorice and angelica root botanicals are macerated for 24 hours in a swan-necked copper still.
