Although Gabriela Hearst's ethos revolves around planet-friendly, forward-thinking design, the New York-based designer still harbours a penchant for retro silhouettes. A case in point: the Meier dress. Spun from a toasty wool and cashmere blend, this sleeveless design features a clean-cut round neckline and is woven into a soft rib. Looking to the ankle-skimming styles of the 1970s, it falls to a flared maxi-length hem and is topped with a horsebit-buckle belt.
