For
Olubiyi Thomas’s ‘’Autonomy’’ collection, the British designer teams up with photographer Holly Vaughan to deconstruct questions around masculinity, feminity, diversity and sustainability. Take a look at this coat as an example. After working with local artists weavers, the label creates four new textiles inspired by African influences from off-cuts then uses hand-embroidery to create the three-dimensional design. Spun from linen and cloaked in a graphic pattern, this classic silhouette is designed with raw hems at the cuffs and hem.
