It’s not often that you come across a whisky like this. We’ve reached Chapter 5 of The Balvenie DCS Compendium, as selected by malt master David C. Stewart MBE. This time it’s a 17-year-old single malt, distilled way back in 2001 (doesn’t seem so long ago, we know). Aged in a European oak butt that previously held Fino sherry, it’s part of a small release. Get your hands on this fruity vintage while you can, and celebrate with a glass of the malted toffee-rich nectar. On the rocks, of course.
