Polo Ralph Lauren's Polo Bear is a signature of the American label, which appears in the form of an embroidery on this season's Keaton cotton slip-on trainers joined by the brand's moniker. The furry mascot was first introduced in '91 after Mr Lauren was gifted a teddy bear dressed like himself by his employees. He thought the idea so ingenious that he soon started selling them, before the bear made its way onto everything from T-shirts to pillowcases. And now shoes.
