Did you know, the
Old Skool trainers by
Vans were the first ever silhouette to bare the (now iconic) curved side stripe? We didn’t either, but it makes complete sense given the name – an ode to the very first pair of waffle-soled kicks in 1977. The silhouette was first called “Style 36”, but we like its modern-day title more – after all, who doesn’t want to look like those effortlessly cool skaters dipping in and out of the bowl on Miami beach? Snapbacks and a sultry attitude are optional, but highly recommended.
