Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Savi, and I’m currently living in Beijing. I have a broad interest in fashion, videography and interior design, and I like to share my style tips on my social channels with my readers.
How did you become a blogger?
I studied accounting at university but realised that it wasn’t for me. I’ve always been interested in fashion, illustration and design, so I taught myself how to make videos while I was still at school and became a full-time fashion blogger right after graduation. I’ve collaborated with brands such as C/MEO Collective and RE/DONE on capsule collections, and I’ve also done visual creative design and interior design work for a few brands.
What do you love about being a blogger?
I enjoy the process of creating and transforming the vision in my head into something more tangible – like images and videos – for people to see. I’ve had to learn things that I’m not familiar with, which keeps things feeling fresh. My work has prompted my readers to see my take on fashion and life in various mediums, and it has affected some people’s lives, which I think is cool and where I get my sense of accomplishment from.
What do you love about Selfridges?
I’ve been to Selfridges quite a few times when I’ve visited London. As large-scale as Selfridges is, it still gives me that boutique feeling and is perfect for a younger, more fashionable audience. A lot of the more niche and independent brands that I’ve come across on Instagram are all available at Selfridges, such as Sporty & Rich and Kimhekim. selfridges.com has a wide range of products as well, including some of my favourite home brands like Georg Jensen, Byredo, Le Labo and diptyque. I also recently encountered a really cool brand called L’Objet. No matter who you are, I think you’ll always be able to find something interesting on selfridges.com.
How do you dress for date night?
My ideal date-night look should be quite simple and fuss-free, with a touch of femininity. Personally, I like showing a bit of collarbone and wearing something that frames my neck quite well.
