Records show that the land Chateau Pichon-Longueville now sits on was bought in the 17th century by Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan, then in 1694, his daughter Thérèse married Baron Jacques Pichon de Longueville and the name of the vineyard was born. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, this Lalande 2010 opens with blackberries, cassis, herbs and coffee on the nose, with plenty of structure and a slight savouriness.
