Alexandra Popa launched Bordelle back in 2009, right here at Selfridges. Her vision for the lingerie label? Experimental pieces that are inspired by ready-to-wear but in a seriously seductive way. Showing us how it’s done is the Mari thong. Shaped from sheer lace that’s left unlined, the mid-rise silhouette is embroidered with bespoke geometric motifs that draw on gothic architecture. It’s then framed by signature satin straps and held together by 24ct gold-plated chain links.
