These pastels from
Sennelier have an impressive past; first made in the early 1900s by Gustave Sennelier for Edgar Degar, these soft chalk pastels have since been used by the likes of Cézanne, Gauguin, Monet and Modigliani. Impressed? We thought you would be. Hand-formed and air-dried in moulds (rather than compressed), each pastel boasts high-quality pure pigment - but, since they're water-soluble, you can dilute the hue, too.
